London features a substantial 20×30mm profile—tall and deep for a bold and architectural presence.
Crafted from solid natural oak, the barewood finish reveals the warm tone and organic grain of the wood, adding depth and texture while maintaining a clean, refined look.
This version offers a timeless, versatile aesthetic—perfect for large-format prints, classic posters, or interiors that value natural materials and honest craftsmanship.

A strong and confident frame with an understated elegance.
Suitable for artworks up to 100×140cm.

Profile: 20mm width × 30mm depth
Material: Solid oak
Finish: Barewood (natural oak)

Please note: Each oak frame is unique – natural variations in the wood grain, texture, and tone are part of what makes solid oak so beautiful. These differences occur naturally and add warmth, character, and authenticity to every piece. If you prefer a more consistent and predictable result, consider choosing an oak veneer finish.

FAQ's

We offer four types of glass – as well as the option to leave out glass entirely. Each type has different properties, depending on your needs, the light in the room, and your budget. Below is a guide to help you choose the right glass:

Museum glass
Best for: Valuable works where both presentation and preservation matter.
Properties:

  • Exclusive glass with an anti-reflective coating.
  • 70% UV protection, helping to protect your work from fading.
  • Reflections are reduced to an almost invisible level for a clear, undisturbed impression.
  • Recommendation: A premium choice for original art, heirlooms, or cherished photographs, where both presentation and long-term preservation count.

Acrylic glass (plexiglass)
Best for: Larger formats, children's rooms, or places where low weight and shatter resistance are important.
Properties:

  • Lightweight material that weighs significantly less than regular glass.
  • Impact-resistant and shatterproof – ideal for rooms with children or public environments.
  • Crisp visibility without distortion, with a softer, diffused reflection compared to regular glass.
  • Blocks around 66% of UV radiation – the best protection among our standard glass options.
  • Recommendation: We use 1 mm acrylic for frames up to 50×70 cm, 1.6 mm up to 70×100 cm, and 2 mm for anything larger. Suitable for large frames, exhibitions, or places where safety and weight are decisive.

Regular glass
Best for: Standard framing where preservation isn't the focus.
Properties:

  • A clear, affordable choice with basic protection and a classic glass look.
  • Blocks around 40–45% of UV radiation.
  • Not recommended for light-sensitive works.
  • Recommendation: Great for posters, prints, and projects where low cost is a priority.

Anti-reflective glass
Best for: Rooms with strong or direct light where glare is a challenge.
Properties:

  • Matte surface, etched with microscopic bumps that scatter light rather than reflecting it.
  • Minimizes glare and offers modest UV protection (~40–45%).
  • Please note: The surface slightly distorts the light passing through, giving the work a soft, subtly frosted appearance. Fine details may lose some of their crispness, so it's worth considering if your work contains sharp lines or subtle textures.
  • Recommendation: Not museum-grade, but a good balance between clarity and price.

No glass
Best for: Works already mounted on a backboard or that don't require protection.
Properties:

  • No covering – the work is shown in its natural form.
  • Please note: Without glass, the work is more exposed to dust and damage.

Why choose Museum glass?

Museum glass is our most exclusive option. With an anti-reflective coating and 70% UV protection, it reduces glare to an almost invisible level while helping to protect your art from fading – ideal when both presentation and preservation matter.

A mount (also known as a passepartout) creates space around your artwork within the frame, enhancing its visual presentation. It highlights the artwork and gives the overall composition a more elegant and balanced look – especially for pieces where the colours extend all the way to the edges.

A mount also allows you to frame a non-standard sized artwork in a standard-sized frame – a practical solution if you want flexibility without custom sizing.

However, we generally don’t recommend adding a mount if your artwork already has a white border, as it often creates the same visual effect.

Our white mount is available in sizes up to 120 x 160 cm. The other 10 colours are available up to 81 x 110 cm. If you need a larger size, feel free to contact us at [email protected].

On this page, you can configure a frame with a single mount opening, placed exactly where you want it. If you'd like multiple openings, head over to our , where you have complete freedom to create layouts with between 1 and 20 apertures — including unique, asymmetric arrangements.

  • For our frames, we use different mounting solutions depending on their size: Smaller FramesA single mounting bracket is attached to the back of the frame. You’ll need just one screw to hang it securely.
  • Larger FramesTwo sawtooth hangers are mounted at the top corners of the frame. If your frame arrives with corner protectors, lift them to locate the hangers. For these, you’ll need two screws—one for each side.

Our mission is to make framing as simple and enjoyable as possible. That’s why our frames are designed for easy, hassle-free mounting at home. Whether it’s a poster or a cherished piece of art, you’ll find it quick and straightforward to place your work securely in our frames.

Good news – we do! If you’d like to order one of these types of frames, contact us at [email protected] or +45 00 00 00 00 and we’ll help you find the perfect framing solution.

Adding space between the glass and your artwork can enhance the visual experience by creating a more dimensional and “floating” effect. We call it a spacer frame, but the technique has been referred to by many names in the framing industry, such as distance frame, box frame, or aquarium frame. If you’re feeling confused by the terminology, you’re not alone—it’s a common question!

In simple terms, we mount a thin wooden spacer (available in oak, black, or white) measuring either 10 mm or 14 mm between the glass and the backing board.

This allows your artwork to “float” within the frame without touching the glass.important notes:

  • Spacer frames are only available with Normal Glass or Museum 99 Glass.
  • The price depends on the size of your artwork and the type of spacer chosen. However, we take pride in offering unbeatable prices in this category.

Our frame profiles are made from ayous, pine, and oak – carefully selected to ensure high quality and responsibly sourced materials.

Solid oak is often seen as a premium option, but it’s not always ideal for picture frames, as its hardness can cause corner joints to crack over time. Instead, we use softer woods like ayous and pine, often combined with oak veneer or special surface treatments to ensure durability and a refined finish.

We work exclusively with producers who prioritise craftsmanship and responsible sourcing.
